International ship manager Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) and the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI) have signed an MoU to launch a game-changing initiative named “True North 72” aiming to encourage innovation across the maritime supply chain and logistics industries. The maritime industry is already undergoing a massive disruption of its existing business models with longer term pressure to become even more efficient and environmentally friendly. Propose a logo for the CMMI and be part of our journey to build in Cyprus the first Centre of Excellence in Marine and Maritime Science. Our own Centre of Excellence in marine and maritime research and innovation in Cyprus needs a powerful logo, therefore we announce this open international logo design competition.  The logo will be part of the identity of the CMMI, accompanying all its events, activities and will be used in online and hardcopy posters and other dissemination material. As part of its continuous efforts to support and encourage innovation in the shipping industry, the Shipping Deputy Ministry, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Cyprus Maritime and Maritime Institute (CMMI) on Wednesday, May 20th, 2020. This MoU formalizes the good relationship and cooperative culture that both organizations have already developed. Το ίδρυμα Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI) δέχεται προσφορά για ετοιμασία και υποβολή των εξελεγμένων Οικονομικών Καταστάσεων για το έτος 2019. Ο ελεγκτικός οίκος που θα επιλεγεί πρέπει να ετοιμάσει και να υποβάλει στο Δ.Σ του ιδρύματος, εξελεγμένες Οικονομικές Καταστάσεις. The official kick-off for our project CMMI / MaRITeC-X was launched last Thursday, October 10 at 10:00 with a press conference at the Radisson Blue Hotel in Larnaca. CMMI / MaRITeC-X which is co-funded by the Cyprus Government and the European Union with € 30 million, aims to establish a Center for Excellence in Maritime and Maritime Research, Innovation and Technology, the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute. A social event was successfully organized by the Municipality of Larnaca on the 16th of July in Ancient Kition in Larnaca under the auspices of the Shipping Deputy Minister, aiming at officially announcing the winning of the MaRITeC-X/CMMI project proposal and at providing more information to the public on the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI). The CMMI which will be based in Larnaca will be an independent, international, scientific and business Centre of Excellence for Marine and Maritime activities.
