Larnaca Mayor Mr. Andreas Vyras and members of the MaRITeC-X Teaming project met on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, with the Rector of the University of Cyprus Mr. Constantinos Christofides. The meeting focused on issues related to the cooperation of the University of Cyprus with the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI) that will be built under the MaRITeC-X project, as well as the next steps and procedures to be followed for the creation of the Faculty of Marine Technologies by the University of Cyprus that will be established in Larnaca.
Fostering synergies with the University of Cyprus on various challenging issues of marine and maritime science and technology will create great opportunities for students, researchers and young entrepreneurs to put their knowledge and ideas into practice and contributing further to the built-up of the CMMI eco-system.
